South Korean Blockbuster Badland Hunters Comes To Netflix in January
Seoul has turned into an apocalyptic desert in this South Korean action movie.
Fans of dystopian action movies will be thrilled to hear that the South Korean film Badland Hunters will be coming to Netflix at the end of January. The movie, directed by martial arts expert Heo Myung-haeng and produced by Byun Seung-min, is a sequel to the 2023 hit movie "Concrete Utopia", which was a massive hit in South Korea when it was released in cinemas (but sadly is not available on Netflix yet).
The premise for "Concrete Utopia" revolved around a massive earthquake that destroyed the majority of Seoul, leaving residents fighting for survival in the single apartment block left standing. The city transformed into a post-apocalyptic wasteland, with dangers lurking around every corner, and trust becoming a scarce commodity.
In "Badland Hunters" we revisit the South Korean capital, where a teenager is kidnapped by a lunatic doctor, and follow the hunter Nam-san as he takes on the dangerous mission to rescue her. Check out the trailer below.
The film's ensemble cast includes acclaimed actors such as Ma Dong-Seok/Don Lee, Lee Hee-Joon, Lee Jun-young, Roh Jeong-eui, An Ji-hye, and others, promising a stellar performance that adds to the anticipation surrounding this post-apocalyptic blockbuster.
When will Badland Hunters be on Netflix?
Badland Hunters will will premiere exclusively on Netflix, on January 26, 2024.
